Zabudo stores the photos, videos, screenshots and documents you choose to keep, and the account that keeps them in sync across your iPhone and the web. Your files are private to your account. We never look at, analyse, sell or advertise with your photos. On the web app, and only with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used. You can delete any file, or your whole account and everything in it, at any time.
Zabudo ("Zabudo", "we", "us", or "the app") is an iOS app and a companion web app that store your photos, videos, screenshots and documents in the cloud and organize them by year, date and event. Both share one account and one secure backend, so your library stays in sync across your devices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. For anything in this policy, contact us at privacy@zabudo.com.
We only collect what the app needs to work:
We do not ask for or store payment card numbers, bank details, or government identifiers, and we do not read your contacts or your full photo library. The app only receives the files you choose to add.
Your data is used only to provide the app: to sign you in, store your files, show them to you organized by year, date and event, sync them between your iPhone and the web, and keep the service secure. We do not use your photos, videos or documents to train any system, for advertising, for profiling, or for sale to anyone.
Nobody at Zabudo browses your library. Files are reachable only through your signed-in session, and our staff access storage only when strictly needed to run the service or when you ask us for help, in which case we tell you. Previews are generated automatically on your device or on our servers and are stored under the same protection as the originals.
On the web app only, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the app is used — for example which pages are visited — so we can improve it. This is loaded only after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the app works exactly the same. We enable IP anonymization and do not use analytics data for advertising. You can change your choice anytime from the "Cookie settings" link. The iOS app does not use third-party analytics trackers.
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) under access rules that limit every record and file to your own account. Files live in a private store and are served only through short-lived, signed links tied to your session. We don't share your personal data with third parties except the service providers strictly needed to run the app (such as our hosting provider, Google for web analytics, and Apple for subscriptions), and only to that end.
Zabudo Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and manages your subscription — we never see or store your card details. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.
We keep your files for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual photos, videos, screenshots, documents and events at any time from either the app or the web, and the file is removed from our storage. Deleting your account (from the Account screen) permanently removes your account, every file and every preview from our systems.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Most of this is available directly in the app, including downloading your files; for anything else, email us and we'll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted in transit, files are encrypted at rest by our storage provider, and every file is reachable only through signed links tied to your session. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Zabudo isn't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data. Photos of children that you, as an adult, choose to store are treated like any other file in your private library. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Your data is stored in the European Union. Where it is processed elsewhere, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it in line with applicable law.
If we update this policy we'll revise the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or web app.
